Čtrnáctiletá Lulu se s matkou a mladším bratrem přestěhuje do malého městečka. Po jedné zvláštní noční příhodě Lulu zjistí, že její bratr byl ovládnut duchem Hermana Hartmanna, člena starodávné lóže bojující proti zlu. Spolu s bohatým kamarádem Oliverem a zneuznaným jasnovidcem a vynálezcem Richardem, se Lu a její bratr, pustí do souboje na život a na smrt se silami zla, které začínají ovládat celé městečko.
