Vyhrať malé prasiatko v tombole je terno, zvlášť keď bývate v paneláku! Po dvoch rokoch spoločného života sa zdalo, že deväťročný Nickel Bussmann a jeho osamelý otec Thomas už konečne dobre vychádzajú. Keď si však Nickel zo školského výletu domov prinesie v batohu malé prasiatko Rudyho, odhalí „strašné“ otcovo tajomstvo – ocko má priateľku Sophie von Kesselovú! Ba čo je horšie, ich útulnom podkrovnom byte sa usadila aj so svojou 12-ročnou dcérou Felicitas. Nickel uzavrie s otcom obchod – ak obe zostanú, on si ponechá Rudyho. Lenže malý Rudy sa postará o poriadny chaos a v novovznikajúcej rodine spôsobuje ustavičné zmätky.
