Hlavní protagonisté této bláznivé komedie jsou hrdinové němých kovbojek Dusty Bottoms, Lucky Day a Ned Nederlander, kteří právě dostali vyhazov z Hollywoodského studia. V pravý čas ovšem přichází záchrana v podobě Carmen - ta je požádá, aby přijeli do zapadlého městečka na jihu a za zajímavou peněžní částku tam pro ni odvedli menší práci. Lehce natvrdlí pistolníci žijí v přesvědčení, že půjde o rutinní kovbojskou show, a proto souhlasí. Věci se však mají jinak a Carmen najednou chce, aby odpravili odporného El Guapa, který se k slušným obyvatelům městečka chová značně nevybíravě. V praxi se ovšem ukáže, že do filmových hrdinů, které ztvárňují, mají přece jen daleko a zachránit zoufalé měšťany rozhodně nebude hračka. (oficiální text distributora)
