This seems like I need to take a rest from extracting so many 'deeper meanings' from movies for a while...

If you’ve had a fever dream in a nightmare.

In my view a movie that talks about one's place in the universe and its relating to the one. A personal idea in a complicated and quick script aware of the media being the message.

I thought my rating and rating system would work for me, but...                                                                          This movie gives too much of an on-point examination of the lack of embodied individuality for me not to point it out.                                                                                                                                                            Therefore, I recognize and admit to my current reviewer limits, and I will let myself be more freely who I currently am (instead of attempting to already be a reviewer who chooses and promotes mostly the movies that align with his values.)                                                                                                                                              So, with this movie: I won't go under 3 stars, even though I do not support the means.

He is for Eric Andre what Filthy Frank 2 is for Filthy Frank.

What I (and some other people) seem to see behind the allegory:                                                             The dark comedy is in Beau's inability to lead a fulfilling life, not being grounded in the present moment. It shows this through guilt and shame (therefore, untapped anger and grief). There is a (cosmic) horror element in that. The father (boundary setter) missing from his life (demonized by Beau's mother) highlights the nature/nurture concept very well. Lastly, the movie shows how our meaning-making process correlates with our past trauma. It being drastic proves that very point.                                           (I started to take away 1-2 stars based on the number of concepts (in the movie or the execution) that I don't wish to support in my world. I also started to rate a maximum of 2 stars if the message was against my values (or if the amount of those things created that type of message.) There are other things in play too. I still watch many things that do not fit me well, so beware. But this movie has one too many great points to go below 3. That happens rarely.)

(In)tensive, but (at least) built on intriguing ideas (Satan being just Ego is my current contemplation). (Edit - 11.05.2023: And from now, I'll withdraw from promoting these oxymoronic movies by my comments. I keep the older comments/ratings on as my past self felt.)

It's like that movie Trash Fire from 2016 - so darkly humorous I clearly see I want to engage in some polar opposite vibes (only with this movie the laughter rating in the laughter/shock ratio is higher than shock).

How to rate this? The series has its dramatic agenda cut, Teal Swan expressed and documented her side of "the story" on her socials.

This is what I currently think about most of the horror movies and why. It is literally a movie which attempts "justifying" its means. And it also touches on the feeling of accepting your pain and then deciding to move forward towards more of what we want.
